Sheila Neufeld and TELUS World of Science present “UNIVERSE”
A series of paintings inspired by the mysteries of existence
June 12 – September 10, 2018: Vancouver artist Sheila Neufeld, in partnership with TELUS World of Science, is excited to present her new body of work, “UNIVERSE” – a series of luminescent paintings inspired by the mysteries that lie beyond our earthly perceptions. “UNIVERSE” will be on exhibit at TELUS World of Science in Vancouver from June 12 – September 10, 2018. The opening night reception is on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Please RSVP to sheilaneufeld@yahoo.ca to get on the guest list. 10% of the proceeds of all art sales will be donated to the Science and Innovators in Schools program.
Sheila Neufeld’s “UNIVERSE” series transcends time and space taking us to the outer limits of human existence and consciousness. While her works may remind us of Hubble Telescope/NASA photographs, the compositions are of places yet to be discovered.
Neufeld uses seemingly endless layers of velvety acrylic paint to carefully create infinite depth-of-field. She meticulously inlays individual Swarovski crystals that twinkle delicately in the light.
Neufeld’s intention is that each of these one-of-a-kind paintings is as unique as the individual viewing it.
